Born March 24, 1943 to Edward and Margaret Snyder in Jersey City, New Jersey, Ed passed away on November 23, 2016.
He graduated from Dickinson High School in 1961 and joined his brother and friends to attend Junior College in Mc Cook, Nebraska. He later earned his bachelor's degree from Southern Colorado University at Pueblo, Colorado.
Ed began teaching in the Delano High School District in January, 1968. He loved learning and imparting knowledge to students, family, and friends. He retired from teaching in 1999. He was most proud when former students would stop and...

He graduated from Dickinson High School in 1961 and joined his brother and friends to attend Junior College in Mc Cook, Nebraska. He later earned his bachelor's degree from Southern Colorado University at Pueblo, Colorado.
Ed began teaching in the Delano High School District in January, 1968. He loved learning and imparting knowledge to students, family, and friends. He retired from teaching in 1999. He was most proud when former students would stop and thank him for teaching them - something they didn't always appreciate at the time.
He is survived by Cheryl Kuney, daughter Kimberly Kuney and her husband Juan Valladares, grandchildren Anissa, Jordan and Aiden Valladares, his brother Kenneth Snyder and his wife Sharon, sister-in-law Patricia Lyman, nieces Jennifer Griest (Ken) and Sarah Wright (Matt), nephews Christopher Snyder (Katie) and Nicholas Lyman, mother-in-law Marian Lyman, three great nieces, and two great nephews.
Burial will be in Milo, Iowa and a memorial service in Delano will be planned and announced after the new year. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Delano Elks Scholarship Fund.
