As the first born of what was to become a very large family, Mary took on the role of helping to raise and nurture her siblings alongside her mother. She was loved and looked up to by her family for her unconditional love and seemingly limitless personal strength even through the most difficult and challenging times. As a loving wife and mother, she raised 3 children alongside her husband Fermin, never remarrying after his untimely passing. A devout Christian, Mary was an active member of the Catholic church and lived her life guided by its principals and teachings. She was known throughout the extended family as a wonderful cook - just about everyone in the family has a blissful memory of something that she's made for them. She always made every effort to put the needs of others first and her selflessness has deeply touched the lives of everyone around her.
